Join me and my daughter, Betsy MacDonald and my son, Peter MacDonald for some tunes and tales today at the Antigonish Visitor Information Centre. We’ll start at 2:00. It’s outdoors ( under a canopy ) so bring a lawn chair and come on over. Refreshments will be served

      – Hi Katrina! Great recap of Mike’s talk! I heard him speak at PartnerCon a few years ago. He’s an awesome speaker! I’m so glad you got a lot out of his talk. Thanks for the shoutout you gave me too!

    • Its the A4 in Thatcham parking tickets should be issued. Outside Francis Bailey school pupils for this and Kennet schools are dropped off every morning and afternoon even though there are Double Yellows on both side of the A4. When a cyclist is passing or a bus has stopped it causes traffic chaos. Council inform me they don’t have enough Parking Attendants to check every school every day. I have never seen one once ever since these Double Yellows have been down. Schools say there is nothing they can do!

Brian Friesen | February 28, 2011 at 3:18 pmExactly, it’s the same lithium as other batteries, just in a different form factor. One thing I should mention is sometimes you’ll find batteries that don’t match up with the standard voltages I mentioned here. For example a laptop battery might be 11V which is three lithium ion in series (3 x 3.6 = ~11V). Another is a 9V alkaline battery which is 6 AAA cells in series (6 x 1.5 = 9V). Reply

Hi Scar,I performed this about 12 months ago so I’m a little foggy on all the details. I can’t immediately put my hands on my notes, but what I can tell you is that yes I was able to achieve this with a live CD. After booting, I then downloaded and installed Java. Once that was done, I had used the Open VMFS driver to mount the partition. The should be useful (fairly sure I followed this as a guide). On Ubuntu 10.04, there is a package called “vmfs-tools”. I haven’t tested, but may be worth a try.Hope that helps.Peter
